August 4th 17: Back To Normality

... which means first of all: There is no change at the top of the German list. For a 15th consecutive week Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber holds firm as the best selling song of the past seven days. It also means that Despacito now is the second song collecting as much #1 weeks in 2017. So Despacito and Shape Of You both range as the longest running #1s in 2017–so far.
Additionally both songs belong to the 10 longest running #1 hits of all times. Last time a song had such a long stay at the top one must go back to 1990 when Verdammt ich lieb' dich by Matthias Reim had an astonishing 16 weeks run at #1.

It is more than possible that Despacito continues at the top although the current #2 comes with pressure. It is More Than You Know by Axwell/\Ingrosso which makes the duo the highest performing Swedish act since Zara Larsson stormed to #1 alongside David Guetta in June past year.
Shooting up 13 places to #5 the next Latin American hit arrives in the face of Mi Gente by J Balvin & Willy William. It only needs some sparks more to become that song the next (late) summer hit.

The latest offering by Gestört aber geil Wohin willst du (featuring Lea) finally enters top 20 status at #17. It is only the second song that manages doing this. Their debut Unter meiner Haut became a huge hit two years ago peaking at #6 and spending 56 weeks inside the list. Wohin willst du so far collected nine weeks.

Moving Up
32 places to #46 Blau by Amanda Feat. Sido in its 8th chart week
31 places to #37 Glorious by Macklemore Ft. Skylar Grey in its fourth chart week
21 places to a new peak at #66 Tired by Alan Walker featuring Gavin James in its 11th week
24 places to #47 No Promises by Cheat Codes Ft. Demi Lovato in its 18th week (already peaked at #40 before)
16 places to #38 I Like Me Better by LAUV in its fourth chart week

21 songs in the list weren't in it a week before. It is the biggest turnover since December 16th past year.
